Een nieuwe analoge synth, 5-stemmig. Digitale effecten, presets, 2 vco's, sequencer, arp,..met Prophet 5 filter Voor iedereen die de sequential prophet sound wil ervaren. Of gewoon een leuke analoge synth zoekt die niet teveel plaats inneemt en z'n inruilwaarde lekker behoudt ;-)

SPECS

OSCILLATORS

• Two analog VCOs per voice
• Continuously variable wave shape (sine, sawtooth, variable-width pulse) per oscillator

Ik heb tot nu toe vooral ervaring met de Rev2, heel kort op de P5 gespeeld .. ik denk dat de P5 en de P6 idd wel wat warmer en organischer klinken dan de Rev2, en speel je de synths solo dan kan dat snel ‘beter’ klinken .. toch denk ik dat het vooral ‘anders’ is, en in een mix met meerdere andere synths kan de Rev2 misschien wel makkelijker in de mix zitten dan de dikkere prophet broertjes. In veel vergelijkingsfilmpjes vind ik dat een ding wel onderbelicht wordt, 16 stemmige polyfonie .. dat speelt toch anders dan 5 of 6 stemmig (maar voor veel mensen is dit blijkbaar geen issue .. vooral een P5 met 5 octaven heb ik dan toch snel last van note stealing .. maar hangt natuurlijk erg af van hoe je hem gebruikt). Hoewel ik het voorlopig hou bij de Rev2 blijven de andere Prophets toch hun aantrekkingskracht hebben, de P5 voor zijn ‘directe’ interface en (nog gavere) sound, maar bv ook weer de Take 5 (vco’s, effecten, sequencer, voor het geld wel heel veel synth als je het vergelijkt met de P5). Wat mij betreft slim in de markt gezet allemaal (of ik kan zelf gewoon moeilijk keuzes maken )

5 voices is erg zuinig voor een polyfone synth, daarom had ik voor de 10 gekozen.
