Steinberg en Yamaha introduceren een gezamenlijk ontwikkelde controller voor Cubase 4, de CC121 Advanced Integration Controller.

Features:

• Advanced Integration controller knob with ‘point and control’ support: controls any visual Cubase 4 parameter, internal FX setting or VSTi parameter using mouse pointer selection
• Instant plug and play with ‘Cubase Ready’ LED – no additional setup or parameter assigning required
• One motorized 100mm touch-sensitive fader
• Dedicated control of Cubase channel settings including solo/mute, record arm, ‘e’ settings button, automation read/write, pan and VSTi editor
• Full Cubase EQ section in hardware with 12 dedicated rotary encoders, with mode selection and bypass switches
• User-assignable section with Cubase-integrated presets for Control Room studio sends and monitoring setup.

CC121 will support Windows XP Windows Vista and Mac OS X, and will be available in Q3 2008 with price TBA.

Ja dat kan.

Zoals reeds vermeld; met de CC121 kan je de 8 quickcontrols bedienen en dat is meteen ook de enige manier om met een CC121 native plug ins te controllen. Met een simpele druk op een knop op de CC121 aktiveer je de mode dat je met de EQ knoppen de 8 quickcontrols kan bedienen, dat is alles. Als je niet weet wat de quickcontrols zijn of hoe die werken; dat zit gewoon in C4 die je al hebt en kan je ook zonder CC121 zelf ff in duiken. Doen!

Heeft iemand m al? Ben benieuwd naar ervaringen...
D'r staat nu een review in de SOS. Daar komen toch weer wat (extra) nadelen naar voren. Zo is de vrij te assignen knop (niet de AI-knop maar die met de 4 buttons) eigenlijk niet vrij te assignen, maar slechts een stuk of 4 presets....duh. Als je m buspowered gebruikt werkt de motorized fader niet, daarvoor moet je een aparte voeding aansluiten.

Bij mij blijft het idee hangen dat deze controller het toch net niet is.. (jammer!!) Ik had veel liever 8 knoppen gezien om de send levels te bedienen, itt de EQ worden die wel door iedereen gebruikt... enz...

Mmm zit de aparte voeding er wel bij?

natuurlijk is er een voeding erbij.

Verder kan je elke "keycommand" die in Cubase mogelijk is de "4 buttons" toewijzen.

heb hem net binnen! ff snel wat geprobeerd en het werkt super.
vind alleen dat de fader en de AI knop er een beetje goedkoop uitziet...

heb een probleempje... (in het engels, verstuurd naar steinberg):
als bijlage heb ik een leeg project toegevoegd waarbij het CR volume wel gewoon werkt.
hebben jullie dit probleem ook? (settings staan onderaan)

I just bought the CC121 controller.
Here are my settings:

DEVICE SETUP:
Steinberg CC212 midi in + midi output
-F1 = devices / vst instruments
-F2 = Automation / show used automation
-F3 = Automation / hide automation
-F4 = Devices / Mixer3

Custom Assignment = CR Volume
Bank = User Assignable
Enable Auto Select = ON

VST CONNECTIONS:
Ouputs
Stereo Out = ASIO Echo Firefire playback1 / playback2

STUDIO:
Monitor1 = ASIO Echo Firefire playback1 / playback2

I want to control the main volume without changing the mix (master fader), so i selected the Custom Assignment = CR Volume to use the Value knob to control the main volume.

The first time i connected the controller, everything worked fine, I could control the volume with the Value knob, like i wanted. Made 2 projects with these settings.

But if I start an new empty project (New Project, Empty) all controls and Fuctions work fine, except the CR Volume knob.

If i open the Control Room Mixer, the fader does move when turning the "Value" knob, but the volume stays the same.

This only happends when loading a new empty project. When i load an old project the CR Volume does work.

How can this be possible?
I have uploaded an empty project in wich the CR Volume DOES work. But when i start a new empty project, it does not...
