AI music generator.
A simple prompt, some simple lyrics and two minutes later I got this.
Everything is AI generated. There are no real instruments; there's no real singer. This will only get easier; with a simpler user interface, more tweakable and remixable...live, even.
And how will this be incorporated in future instruments? Keyboards with singer options on board? Whole choirs?
I have heard this program produce entire pieces of baroque classical music. It will probably out-Bach Bach at some point.
Of course it can reproduce Bach but not bé a Bach, but isn't that a matter of time now? You'll tell it to make a symphony in the style of Bach and Stockhausen and it will do it...and become something totally original eventually, surely.
The whole world will marvel at this. It all reminds me of the Matrix.
Morpheus: "...Welcome.. to the desert.. of the real. We have only bits and pieces of information but what we know for certain is that at some point in the early twenty-first century all of mankind was united in celebration. We marveled at our own magnificence as we gave birth to AI."
Jurassic Park's Malcolm echoes in my mind as well:
"Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
I have even heard people produce songs with an incredibly convincing sound of singers like Freddy Mercury or Johnny Cash. Songs by totally different artists, but the renders are stunning.
Has anyone of you ever watched the movie "S1mone"? This is that. It is going that way. Recordings of talents of the past (more than the present, at least for now) will become hot commodities. You get add-ons and plugins for video and audio programs. You'll be able to buy a "Jarre style companion plugin". A "John Williams orchestra plugin". "John Lennon plugin"..."Marilyn Monroe" plugin. A "Yoko Ono plugin". No wait...that will probably (hopefully!) never happen.... And don't think it will stop here. What about 3D printing technology? You can tell the AI to make a clasp in the style of artist X in material Y and it will give you options to print out. Action figures, toys. Lego models. Tools. Companies will be able to make digital models you can purchase. Tweak. How about clothing? Real painted art? Anything!
This cannot be stopped, so we'd better get used to it. We woke up in tomorrow and it seems less human than ever. Udio | Dust of Truth by WpOdd
