Icon QCON MIDI Controller

"Icon" lanceert een control surface met 8 touch sensitieve gemotoriseerde faders en een heleboel controle buttons. Volgens verschillende bronnen gaat de prijs rond 500€ liggen. Hij zal beschikbaar zijn tegen het laatste kwartaal van 2010.

Jammer genoeg laat dit op zich wachten, ik vind het er veelbelovend uitzien eigenlijk, zeker voor de verwachte prijs!

Ik zou zo graag eens zien dat fabrikanten een mixer/controller/keyboard in een doos maken.
Zo iets als dit en dan gelijk ook een mooi masterkeyboard er in verwerkt.
Minder doosjes minder kables , intuitiever werken. strakkere werkplek.
Snap eigenlijk niet dat zoiets nog niet op de markt is.

Eigenlijk zie ik het liefst een Allen en heath zed 24 mixer met mackie control er in , en een novation remote SL mk2 achtig masterkeyboard met moving faders/knobs. Dat alles in een strakke metaalkleurige doos.
Ik ben bereid voor zoiets flink te betalen.

Dat kan natuurlijk gewoon, al gaan daar echt wel kosten aan vast zitten.

nadeel van zo'n oplossing is dat je bij eventuele reparatie de volledige basis van je setup kwijt bent (audio/midi interface, control surface en toetsen). Een niet wenselijke situatie lijkt me.

Bovendien kun je bij losse componenten vrijer kiezen om aan specifieke wensen te voldoen. De een wil 8 midi i/o en 24 audio i/o, de andere weer iets heel anders.

De MC control is eigenlijk precies wat ik zoek, maar ik ben niet van plan om over te stappen op Mac ..

Zij zijn allemaal PC en MAC. Zeker weten doet niemand het, maar de kans dat ze ook PC gaan ondersteunen lijkt mij behoorlijk groot.

Wie het weet mag het zeggen... Het lijkt mij de moeite om even een tijdje af te wachten.
