Dit is wat Colin Fraser er over schrijft:
Obviously I could be seen to have a vested interest, since I sell the
MIDIBass kit, but...
Anyone who takes a working original CPU out of a 303 to replace it with the
Quicksilver unit and then sells on that original CPU needs their head
examined.
If you want a 303 that isn't a 303, get a x0xb0x, or an Oakley TM3030 and
sequence it externally.
There are plenty of MIDI sequencers that will give you greater sequencing
power on your 303 externally, without compromising the fundamental character
of what is, whether you dig them or not, a classic instrument.
I got to a fairly advanced stage with the design of a drop-in replacement
CPU for the 303 when I first cloned my 303 in the mid-90s.
I abandoned the project because I couldn't see any point in it unless the
contents of the original 303 mask ROM were revealed so the replacement could
behave *exactly* as the original.
Otherwise, it's not a replacement, it's an alternative.
Cheers,
