Echocord mini is wel leuk i.v.m. met die verschuifbare kop. Daarmee kan je leuk FX maken.
Ik heb sterk het gevoel dat als je die echo's in een mix gebruikt al snel veel van het character wegvalt...jammer maar helaas. Nu heb ik maar 1 x in mijn leven aan een space echo mogen zitten, dus who am I to judge....
Ik gebruik wel vaak de Retrodelay en de UAD-1 Nigel delay. Die schijnt gemodelled te zijn op wat ouwe pedaaltjes ofzo.
Ik heb ff een stukje Dub gemaakt met die UAD-1 delay en als Spring reverb de reverb in de JCM900 emulatie van G-suite.

Als je evt. wilt proberen een tape echo te emuleren met een modernere, digitale multi FX doos kun je het volgende in je achterhoofd houden.
1) het freq. bereik van een tape-echo was/is beperkt; stel dus zowel hi- als low-tone roll-off in voor de feedback, odat het geluid steeds "doffer" wordt met iedere repeat.
Evt. kun je bepaalde midden freq. ook iets versterken.
2). De wow en flutter die de motor veroorzaakte geeft/gaf een licht "jankerig" (chorus/vibrato) effect aan de echo's. Dit kun je namaken door de delaytijd licht te moduleren met een random LFO, of een lichte chorus achter je delay te zetten.

. Iets beters heb ik nog niet gevonden in VST formaat.

zijn allemaal anders die echo s en galms , gebruik die r66 pluggin nu als reverb ,vindt hem lekker
het is een reverb met een mooie lange echo, eigenlijk geen vervanger voor de space echo , maar hij blijft in het digitale domein.

Fles! Jij had toch eerst een Line6 EchoPro?
Hoe vind je dat die het doet versus de plugs van Interruptor?
Qua sound zou ik absoluut voor de echo pro gaan. Maar ik heb eigelijk andere prioriteiten, ik mix nu volledig in software, dus dan is een VST al iets makkelijker te gebruiken natuulk. En het grootste voordeel vind ik dat een VST 0,0 ruis genereerd, wat bij een delay met hoge feedbackrate (dub) erg welkom is. Een echopro klinkt geweldig, maar eigelijk zit er onacceptabel veel ruis en hum op die unit.

ik heb ooit eens aan abasi hi power (dubsound van neil perch aka zion train) hun HH tape delay mogen zitten tijdens de soundcheck van een show in gent, en die was minstens evenwaardig, maar ik heb er nergens info over kunnen vinden, ken er hier iemand die tapedelay en waar vind ik er info en verkopers van...

Ik heb de Akai Headrush (2) nog niet voorbij zien komen. Persoonlijk vind ik hem vrij goed, en hij valt volgens mij in de prijscategorie van de topicstarter. Je kunt hem ook op 3 verschillende manieren gebruiken: normal delay, tape echo, en looping device.
The AKAI E2 Delay is a tape echo and looping recorder and player in a pedal format that sits on the floor. This is a trip of a pedal. I've always have been a fan of non-software looping for realtime sound creation and sonic adventures. This pedal can do it. It can also be used for that tape echo sound of the older echoplex or roland space echo units.
There are 3 basic modes it operates in. The first being TAPE ECHO mode which allows you to use the 4 output taps to create some interesting spatial delay effects. The Normal Delay Mode is just that: a normal delay. The interesting thing with this one is that it has 23 seconds of delay time. That's more than anyother delay I know about. Then there is the LOOP Recording Mode which allows you to overlay Loops one on top of the other. You can create some very dense atmospheres and drones using this box.
The Tape Echo mode simulates a classic 4 head tape echo unit like the roland space echo and similar to a maestro echoplex (only 1 tap). The cool thing about this is that it has an output for each tap (4 outputs). It's a really cool effect in 5.1 or (Quad). It can also operate as a normal delay where you can change the delay times in realtime using the TAP TEMPO button on the pedal. To use the tap tempo button you select tap tempo and then hit the switch a few times at the tempo of the song. This works really well when playing live. It allows you to set delay times based upon the tempo without having to whip out a calculator.
The Loop Recorder allows you to record a phrase up to 23 seconds and then immediatley loop it. You can then layer more loops over this one (if you have enough memory).
It runs at 44.1kHz sample rate and 16-bit sample resolution. There's enough memory for one mono delay of 23.8 seconds in length, or 11.9 seconds if you overdub another loop. The maximum delay time in TAPE ECHO mode is 5.9 seconds.
Recording Loops is very easy. You can record as many loops as you can fit into the memory. The maximum amount of time while over dubbing is 11.9 seconds. To create a loop and overdub just select the LOOPING MODE switch, start playing, hit the right footswitch (recording), hit the left footswitch when your done with the loop. This loop will continue to play until you stop or delete it. You can add more loops by repeating this process: hit the right footswitch, then the left to stop recording.
In TAPE ECHO mode you can use the 4 outputs to send a delay tap to. This sounds really great in quad or 5.1 surround. You can also output the taps and pan them across the stereo image: Left, Left Center, Right Center, Right and other pan positions to create other effects. I've experimented with this pedal and created some 5.1 surround files (AC-3 and DTS) which should be up by the time this page becomes avialiable.
The Headrush also has a High Frequency Damping control that is a low pass filter that removes some of the high frequencies which gives a more realistic and warm tape echo.
The Feedback control adjusts the amount of feedback for the delay. This recycles the output back into the input so you can have endless loops or loops that fade away. Comes with a wallwart power supply
