beepblip (Ida Hiršenfelder) is a sound artist and archivist. She makes immersive bleepy psychogeographical soundscapes with analogue electronics, DIY and modular synths, field recordings and computer manipulations. She is interested in bioacoustics, experimental music and sound spatialisation. She was a member of the Theremidi Orchestra (2011–2017) and is currently a member of the Jata C group for bioacoustics and sound ecologies. Her solo albums Noise for Strings, Vol. 1 (2019) and Noise for Strings, Vol. 2 (2020) were published by the Kamizdat label. Currently, she studies Sonology in The Hague.

Voltmeister
We are Voltmeister. A German-Dutch trio rooted in the industrial/techno scene (see L’aime Immortelle, Schwarzblut, Nachtmahr). We love modular synthesizers. Our story started in 2016. We do live performances, improv meetups, DIY workshops, studio sessions and music releases.
Since 2019 we organise Square Wave, a live improvisation music event for modular synthesists. At our resident club De Hip in Deventer (NL) we’ve hosted fourteen editions so far…and counting. Square Wave is inspired by structured improvisation in jazz and contemporary classical music. We conceived an approach where modular synthesizers are the primary instrument. At Square Wave a group of participants perform sequentially in random duo’s. Each performance is 10 minutes long at max. Fate determines what the tempo of each performance is, within the range of 60-160 BPM. This approach makes Square Wave exciting for both the performers and the audience. Besides exciting performances, Square Wave is about meeting and connecting with fellow synth enthusiasts.
Together with a few of our best synth friends, we will bring the Square Wave improv sessions to Modulation. at De Helling. At the start we’ll let a random draw decide what the duo’s and BPM’s will be. Exciting, daring and open to whatever may come. Just as we like it.

The Invibles
The Invisibles is a loose collaboration of artists using modular and acoustic instrumentation alongside generative video. This new line up sees them creating a live experimental improvised genre-hopping electronic excursion accompanied by generative performed visuals.
Current members:
Dom Graveson has been making music for decades, from trance hits in the 2000's through to recently as part of cinematic electronica act Digitonal. During the lockdown he was exploring live streaming improvised ambient with modular and draws upon that experience for this performance.
Andrew Dobson is a multidisciplinary musician and creative technologist working at the intersection of digital generative processes and human performance. He performs as Digitonal, Of The Night Sky and Alphabox.
Martijn Pieck - records as Cinema Perdu. He is an experimental artist who often uses field recordings as the starting point for his compositions. Working with additional sources from modular, samples and contact microphones and records with the [law-rah] collective, Woodbendr and Philipp Buckle. He is also working on a kinetic music sculpture called the Music Machine and has worked on soundtracks for film..
