Modified BOSS RPS-10
The BOSS RPS-10 is like a PS-2 and PS-3 in one. I modify these boxes so that they self oscillate on all settings (not a feature stock). I also dramatically increase the delay time, allowing for delay times of up to 40 seconds. Though it starts to get really bitcrushed after 4 or 5 seconds, you can still use it as a basic looper-and in low-delay time settings, you can set it for a large amount of time, giving a bit-crushed sound at reasonable delay times (which many underclocked delays are unable to provide). I also build footswitch boxes for these, which make use of the hold and external bypass featurs. With a huge amount of delay time and hold, the RPS-10 becomes a nice lo-fi sound on sound looper. Boss RPS-10
The Boss RPS-10 pistch-shifter/delay - Part of the classic Boss Micro-rack series which graced a huge amount of home studio's back in the 1980's.
Units could be bought individualy, and a 'master rack' could be purchased to house and power a whole set.
Individual units took a wall wart supply for their DC power, the optional 'rack' could have a distribution power unit to power the whole lot (RPW-7 Power unit).

What makes the Rampage so brutally offending is its special "Scoop" control. The Scoop allows a mid cut of up to 30dB, making any amp scream beyond its capacity. The Bass control adjusts the low frequency levels (+/- 15dB). The Treble control adjusts the high frequency levels (+/15dB). The Level control adjusts the overall volume level. The Sustain control adjusts the level of the distortion.
Special attention was given to the Rampage to allow up to 75dB of raging gain with amazingly low noise. Simply crank up the Sustain parameter, touch a note, and let the feedback and harmonics go!
