Hoi,
off topic, maar misschien wel handig.
Markus resch is de man achter mellotron sweden en hij is de man die je moet hebben voor de aanschaf van een mellotron.
Dit heeft hij mij gemaild.
Hello there!
My name is Markus Resch, and I am the business partner of Dave Kean of
Mellotron Archives. I am based in Sweden, and I am manufacturing the MkVI
here together with spare parts for the M400.
The MkVI features some substantial improvements compared to the M400,
including easy-to-play keyboard and tube preamp, none of wich can be
obtained even in a refurbished M400. Because of our stock of original 70:s
Mellotron tape heads we are maintaining the original sound and featuring the
original sounds of the Mellotrons and Chamberlin archives.
The MkVI is $4800 excluding transport, including one tape frame with custom
sounds. We strongly recommend that one purchases a tailor-made anvil case
together with the Tron, so that the machine can be delivered in a safe way.
The case is of very high quality and can naturally be used for future
storage and transport of the machine. The price of the case is very
competitive at $400.
Our satisfied customers include Pål Waktaar (A-HA), Eddie van Halen, Mark
Manchina (film score producer for Lion King etc) and Noel Gallagher (Oasis).
-------------------
Currently the delivery time is 4 weeks.
Actual servicing is not needed on a MkVI, it is much less fragile than a M400 from the 70's. Touring is no problem. Some very easy adjustments on the keyboard (to suit the taste of the player) may be necessary.
Mechanical noise from the motor is no problem at all (much less than a Hammond).
If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to mail me.
Best regards
Markus
