To fund a big purchase of a nice device, I may have to sell a Synthi.
I'm not interested in trades.
I know it's not cheap and I won't discuss the price. If it doesn't sell for this price, I'm happy to keep it.
It's actually a Synthi A MK2, not a Synthi AKS without KS (there's no "KS" in the serial # and the Spartanite case lid has the "SYNTHI" badge but no holes to screw the KS). It belonged to German musician Juergen Karg and was most probably used on his "Elektronische Mythen" album. It is also the one that Arturia failed to emulate for their so-called "Synthi V", I lent it while I was working as a consultant for them and took it back before the project was completed when I realized they sneakily misappropriated the "SYNTHI" name behind Robin Wood's back and were lying to me.
Kind of a "historical" Synthi thus.
It is in very good cosmetical condition (some scratches on the panel, pin park hole was slightly enlarged by Juergen Karg) and in perfect working order. I serviced it recently, it comes with a 1 year warranty.
- all electrolytic caps replaced
- several trimpots replaced (I will replace the other ones for free if the buyer wants to)
- supermatched pair expo converter in the 3 oscillators
- tempcos in oscillators 1 and 2
It has some modifications that I did to fill in the holes that were drilled by Juergen Karg.
- the pot in the matrix top left corner is variable sync oscillator 1 slave - oscillator 2 master, pull the knob to enable the sync and tweak it to ajust the best sync depth
- the input level ch1 on-off-on switch routes inverted oscillator 3 square or triangle to row 8, the input level pot sets amplitude
- the input level ch2 on-off-on switch routes inverted oscillator 1 sine or trapezoid to row 9, the input level pot sets amplitude
I'll be happy to change the existing modifications or to add some if the buyer wants to. This would be at cost.
Price for the Synthi A is 11000€.
I could add a late revision KS, in very good cosmetical condition and perfectly working too, if so the Spartanite case will come with a drilled lid featuring the rare inverted "SYNTHI" badge.
The KS is not available for sale separately.
Price for the Synthi AKS is 13500€.
Shipping at cost, pick up in Belgium welcome.
Thanks for watching, feel free to ask any question.
