citaat : As i targeted for the 2018 Macbook Pro upgrade from my 2015 (now obviously not happening) i assume it's hardware problem and it's not fixable from any software update.
I have been struggling with dropouts with my
Apogee Duet 2 (i tried 4 different Duets) for months and i tried every possible solution (from Pram restet to fresh install) and now, when i read all the topics from Gearslutz, MacRumors and RME forum i see dangerous resemblance. Apogee support advised me to do all the things that are now recommended to MacBook Pro with T2 chip users. Especially when i saw "daemon" fix. It's not a fix, it's a very short term solution as it returns after a while, not even after reboot but quicker. I'm not an expert but in my opinion it is a hardware buffer issue that causing this and i have very little faith in software update fixing this problem.
So my advise it to stay away from T2 chips machine as long as there will be not 100% fix.
