Yes yes, we are back with another edition of Beat-Triks to celebrate the queen’s birthday!
This time Beat-Triks meets Forward Sound System, bringing you a mixture of Drum&Bass and raggae/dancehall all night long. In the main-hall we present you a packed lineup.
We are proud to present Nookie from the U.K., Murderbot from the U.S.A. as well as many others. In the small room you will be able to enjoy the finest dancehall/yardvibes with Forward sound. We also appreciate the need of those whose feet hurt after making such intense use of them. So we made sure we have an area where you can give your feet a rest and fill up your head with some of the nicest chill-out music around.

NOOKIE
In 1995 Nookie released his debut LP on Reinforced Records entitled ‘The Sound of Music’.
Since then he has released several records on the famous Good Looking label and did a remix for Goldie’s classic “Innercity live”. Nowadays he’s the chief of Strictly Digital, an online label, which also hosts nights in London. Watch out for this DJ! You can at Simplon!
MURDERBOT
Another outstanding name on the list is, Murderbot, from the USA, with his killing raggajungle, which is bound to blow up the place. His dynamical sense of music will break your inner beat.
ROYAL & RAW
Royal & Raw, a duo formed by Fre4knc and Silvahfonk who have a show on www.jungletrain.net. They both like to play long and daring and are not afraid of some experimental mixing, which results in an energetic set and an enthusiastic crowd. The Dutch audience loves them!
YOROBI
And not to leave out the woman, Yorobi, formally known as Josje, a long time player in the local
and national scene. She had a radio show up until recently at www.nauticradio.net. Yorobi plays a variety of different dnb, dancefloor minded as always with a little nasty foxy kick inside which will make you sweat.
RIZZ
The very talented breakthrough DJ Rizz, member of Break-Fast, is conquering the world with his drumfunk orientated drum and bass. He will represent his vision on drum and bass, one which will move your feet.
WIZMATHICS
Also from Break-Fast, comes DJ Wizmathics. With his preference for Intelligent, Liquid and Neurofunk drum and bass he only cares about making your night a good one. Dance, enjoy and he’s happy.
QUEST ONE
The master of ceremony of the night is MC Quest One. From the Amsterdamaged Massive, he won the best upcoming mc from The Netherlands in 2004 and actually won this very award in 2005. He calls himself a; lively fun loving outspoken conscientious party freak.

FORWARD SOUND SYSTEM
In the smaller hall the Forward Yard Soundvibes will shake your bottoms. The collective consists of MC Jenko , Mystic Tammy and Selector Peacemaker, they bring The reggae dancehall straight from Jamaica which will make the cold Groningen turn into a warm and happy joy fest. Bringing you a fine selection of dancehall yardvibes on simply the best platters and dubplates. Surprise yourself, skin up da reefer and save us the flavour
Chill out/Café
When there’s a time to dance there’s also a time to chill and contemplate...
Where better to do those things then in the Café?

MONOLOGIC
This guy is a strange one but very very talented with his ghetto tek kinds of work he wil give you some space in your head and think it’s gonna be alright.
On this night he’s gonna play some strictly breakbeat tunes and some experimental own works with electronic influences. It’s a little difficult how to describe his style, but its dope and you need to hear him.
OPTIMUS PRIME
Funkmaster of hip-hop he will most definitely rock your feet and inner soul, bringing a wide selection of funk and Hiphop mixed up with some superb scratching tricks.
MONOM3
Last but not least, in the café the talented Monom3 from Italy. Monom3, born in Florence (Italy), stands for a whole new approach of music. With his digital setup he brings to you live a combination of IDM/Triphop in his own way. If you like experimental live music, you better check him out!
