Ha mensen,
ik wilde jullie ff attenderen op het nieuwe "oude" download-album van ['ramp], "frozen radios". Dit album werd uitgebracht in maart 2000 en verscheen op het Alfa Centauri Festival te Huizen naar aanleiding van ons concert dat we daar een jaar eerder speelden (als opening act voor Redshift en Tim Blake). De download is net dezelfde versie als de cd (die sinds 2003 is uitverkocht). Er zitten ook een paar rustige nummers bij die je op de website kan beluisteren.
"frozen radios" bevat heel wat sequencer-gebaseerde muziek die nog sterk door de "Berlijnse School" is beinvloed (lees: Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze) maar ook door de Britse collega´s van Radio Massacre International, Redshift en vooral Node. Wij gebruikten toen nog een heleboel oud spul, bvb. Mini Moog, Moog Prodigy, ARP 2600 en Odyssey met ARP Sequencers, Roland Jupiter 8, MC-202, TR-808 en System 100 (101, 102, 103, 104), PPG 1020, Korg Polyphonic Ensemble, Yamaha SS-30 String Synthesizer, Mellotron en ga zo door!

"Hi all,
in case you haven´t got the original CD release already, "frozen radios" has finally been made available as a download-album from Musiczeit. This is the original version as released on CD, mind you.
"frozen radios" was the second ['ramp] album and was released in March 2000 at the seventh Alfa Centauri Festival. Still firmly rooted in Berlin School territory, it also showcased our more ambient and more industrial approach to EM, particularly the live set "two miles from blaricum" which was recorded at the sixth Alfa Centauri Festival when we were playing the opening show for Redshift and Tim Blake.
