Geluiden waar je U tegen zegt en een aantrekkelijke prijs.
(misschien zit een 2U versie nog in de pijplijn met wel die extra opties die ze eruit gesloopt hebben om hem in een 1U doosje te proppen)

Lijkt me een interessant alternatief voor de Roland XV5050. Ongetijfeld zal er ook nog wel een grotere (a la XV5080) en kleinere (XV2020) komen :)

Ik snap hier geen thornback thar van.

Maar ze hebben de DSP's die erin zitten opgefokt zodat er 128AWM stemmen uitkomen.
En meer insert effecten. En ik zou het zwak vinden als er geen standaard mLan bijzat.

Als Yamaha op deze manier gaat concurreren met de Roland modules dan kan dat alleen maar positief zijn voor ons, ook al hou je niet van de Yamaha sounds, Roland moet nu qua prijs wel ergens rekening mee houden.
 
En zelf zou ik waarschijnlijk voor de AN-PLG en FM-PLG kiezen. Mocht ik hem ooit kopen. Die lijken mij nl. het vetst.
 
Interessant. Jammer dat het een 1u unit moest worden. 2u en een redelijke display is toch niet slecht ? Maar goed, ik wil 'm zeker hebben.

Ik heb de physical modeling en voice modelling, die kreeg ik erbij toen ik de motif7 tweedehands kocht. de physical modelling had ik sowieso wel gekocht denk ik, dat vind ik toch wel echt kicken. Ik zat eerlijk gezegd al een tijdje te
wachten op de rack-versie - heb er zelf dus extra wel een sequencer en 64mb sampler inzitten.

Shit man, hadden ze nooit moeten doen een 1U 19" model. Dat past nog gewoon.

Maar wat een onzettende Harries! Geen mLan! Het is ronduit schandalig.
Het is een studio module en dan moet je het doen met een 'lullige' digitale stereo out?
Maw ze moesten de kosten drukken dus slopen ze alles eruit wat eruit kan en dan gooien ze dit op de markt.
En nou net het ene gedeelte wat hem echt interessant (voor de toekomst) zou maken.

Het is dat de ROM samples van dit bakbeest ontzettend goed zijn wat hem de klank geeft.
De arpeggiator is ook erg OK. (haalt het niet bij die van de Korgs)

En voor een ieder die aan VL synthese begint. Ik vind dat je in de praktijk er niet zo heel veel mee kunt.
Misschien een gave bas of digeridoo, maar zonder midi controller fluitding is het heeeel moeilijk om iets blazerigs eruit te krijgen.
 
...haarbol heeft om die reden natuurlijk ook een breathcontroller, dan is het best ok :)
