The fourth edition of Other Stuff To Dance To, features a line up of 100% Dutch eclectic forms of groovy electronica! Tonight is your chance to discover some of the finest Dutch underground artists operating within the dusky crossover area between IDM, instrumental hiphop and leftfield breaks...

Line-up:

WG@EET - live [NL; TEGEL / Antilounge/ Secret Machine Language]
IDM / Electronica
Audio-visual electronica duo from The Hague, performing radio static laptop miniatures, sustained grit and blissful loopings. Their music sounds like a bleepy and more freaked out version of Boards of Canada, fanning from atmospheric soundscapes to hard uncontrolled spastic beats, thus creating soundtrack music for big city drop-outs.

WG@EET stands for 'We Are Great At Everything Except This', and consists of film maker ShootingFootage and beat creator / sound morpher OL4F. ShootingFootage makes experimental films where music and sound play an essential role. OL4F composes electronica and played in Normally Invisible/,/ releasing several CDs and creating film music.

They met each other at the Association of New Film - and Television Makers. They pioneer since then under the name WG@EET and are to be found in the border areas of modern electronica. In their music a vigorous tension arises by the combination of /ShootingFootage's/ anarchistic, unfiltered and unforeseeable input and /OL4F's/ more structured and methodical approach.

Menno - live [NL; Humanworkshop]
Pseudo-acoustic breaks & cinematics
Humanworkshop proudly presents the fresh, new and never-heard-before talent Menno, straight out of Leiden: the sleepy town that is known all over the world -and beyond- for providing ground breaking electronic artists!

Menno's music is defined by a warm carpet of sounds, topped by beautifully simplistic melodies and supported by barb wired beats that bite your feet while you shuffle the floor. Menno creates his themes and melodies in the studio by means of his own guitar play. He then combines these with recordings he makes from all sorts of small percussive instruments. Finally he fuses the whole package with hyper active polyrhythmic drums, ready made for instant grooving. The final result is a highly detailed, extra-terrestrial blend of contemporary, cinematic breakbeat.

Tonight is his live debut, be sure not to miss out on this unique occasion!

Modull - live [NL; KOinc.]
Electronica / IDM / Ambient
Modull has been around since 1998, and originally consisted of Roy Cordu and Zippy Lopass. Together they played a few Dutch festivals, most notably the )toon) festival in 2002. With Lopass moving out of the country in 2004, Modull was temporarily put on hold. With the recent addition of Salvador (aka Piepenkraak), the blood has started to flow again. Salvador adds driving rhythms and subtle glitchyness to the edgy atmospherics and tightly interlocking melodies of Modull.
