Noise Egineering euro-modules als plugins

Drie eurorack-modules van Noise Engineering komen in samenwerking met Avid uit als plugins (AAX)​

Het gaat om Basimilus Iteritas, Cursus Vereor, en Desmodus.

Versies in VST-, AU- en Reason-formaat volgen later.

Why do I need software if I have hardware? How a plugin differs from a module 101​

Of course, being software, there are some things we can do with these plugins that we can’t do with the modules. First, all of them come with a library of presets: Desmodus comes with over 500, and Basimilus Iteritas and Cursus Vereor come with over 1,000 each!

The two synths also have sample rate controls: you can oversample to make things pristine, or downsample to make them gross. They can also both load Scala files, if you’re into alternative tunings. And, of course, there’s polyphony: the synths can play up to 16 voices at once. Yes, you too can have that epic performance the NE team is always talking about with eleven Basimilus without breaking the bank.

MIDI control is a breeze, and consider the ease of traveling with just a laptop vs. a modular case and all of the accoutrement required.

There’re the general plugin advantages, too: it can be difficult to recall your modular settings for a particular session, but with plugins, it’s as simple as pressing load. Neato!

Oeh, da’s leuk! Qua prijs best te doen; Basimilus is iets minder dan €50,-, denk de andere ook.

verdumme, och maakt niet uit, ik heb beide bundels voor reason. dat zijn 9 modules. alleen de basimilus iteratus heeft al een reason variant. (in een bundel was die 50 euro, samen met 2 anderen.)
de 2 andere nog niet.
wel nice dat ze dit gingen doen, ik voelde m al aankomen, op 1 of andere wijze, geen echt voorgevoel, maar dat ik ze net voor reason ga kopen en er komen vst varianten. maakt niet veel uit, in RRP heb je lekkere mogelikheden.

EDIT: de cursus Iteritas vereor heb ik ook, lijkt me identiek? nou ja, maakt niet uit.

wel fijn voor degenen die geen reason hebben. voor mij maakt het niets uit (tenzij de oversampling beter is, maar ze klinken al verrekte goed, dat is wel het voordeel van reason..).

EDIT 2: de basimilus iteratus is inderdaad een erg lekkere "drum"-module. sinds m heb, zijn er weer drums aanwezig, zijn een jaar bijna afwezig geweest.

Deze zijn toch wel erg mooi, hoor. Het wordt je wel makkelijk gemaakt om snel met mooie resultaten te komen, dat is ook weleens lekker. Dit klinkt gewoon erg goed, wat je dan ook doet.
