"After watching a street performer playing Hang drum, we imagined, wouldn’t it be great to have a MIDI controller with a similar layout, so you could use it instead of a keyboard, giving you so much more creative freedom.
The idea to add X and Y controls came immediately after, and we knew right away, we must make it. The idea to change the playing surfaces (keys) to square pads and design a square surface overall felt so logical and natural, we went with it.
After we produced a few initial sketches and ideas, we began exploring available technologies to bring our product to life. Then we met Igor Petrović, the man behind the MIDI brain OpenDeck. He started working with us and deserves the most credit for our successful journey from initial ideas to a fully functional product.
Throughout our 3 years of development, we went through a few prototyping phases, fixed endless bugs, improved aesthetics, decreased the weight from 6 to 2.8 kilos, and much more. As a result we now offer you a stable, complete product, ready to take your music to a new level."
