We weten dat de Jaap Vink reverb klanken stapeld in een loop en deze weer langzaam laat wegebben.
Wanneer we deze loop in stukjes opbreken krijgen we 'doosjes' met daarin sneller/langzamer opgeslagen klanken.

Prachtig Roland. Vooral hoe je alles onder controle weet te houden. Bij mij gaan feedbacks en reverbs al heel snel naar loops waar je trommelvliezen van gaan bloeden en waar geen redden meer aan is :-) Ik ga nog eens goed kijken naar die feedback loop die je beschrijft.
Je moet wel iets in die loop ertussen zetten

Deze keer een "Glitchy" manier om de in tijd-doosjes opgeslagen klankdata te bewerken.
Zoals fans van Eno waarschijnlijk wel weten, is Erik Satie de eigenlijke Godpapa van de ambiënt muziek.
Hij componeerde als eerste "meubilair muziek" tussen 1893-1894!
Natuurlijk werd hij in zijn tijd als een rare vogel gezien en kon men niet veel met zijn werk.
Satie was van invloed op o.m. Claude Debussy, Edgar Varese, John Cage en Brian Eno.
Ook als eerste plaatste hij stukken papier tussen de piano snaren om andere klanken te produceren.
Iets wat John Cage verder uitwerkte in zijn stukken voor "Prepared Piano".
Erik was ook van invloed op de "minimal music".
In deze opname gebruik ik ik dan ook prepared piano klanken en minimalistiche herhalingen op dit stuk van Erik Satie:
