Ik ben eens benieuwd of er mensen nog muziek-gerelateerd leesvoer mee op vakantie nemen en zo ja, wat dan? Ik heb zelf net deze twee voor erg goedkoop gevonden en gekocht (amazon.de), leken me wel interessant:

Mooie tips! Het valt me trouwens op dat amazon.de soms best goedkoop is met boeken. Ik keek eerst veel op the Book Depository vanwege gratis verzending en ook soms erg scherpe prijzen. Maar de laatste tijd al best wat via amazon.de besteld. De .nl site heeft minder en duurder aanbod...

Toen ik nog in België woonde was ik lid van 3 bibliotheken, want gratis of nagenoeg gratis. In Nederland is het best prijzig en op het moment lees ik te weinig om een abonnement te rechtvaardigen, maar je hebt een punt. Misschien toch maar weer eens lid worden en tijd voor lezen maken.

Messy: Tim Harford ( howto be creative and risilent in a tidy minded world )
In dit boek gaat het eerste hoofdstuk over Brian Eno en studio tijd met Bowie.
Hoe ze de gitarist laten drummen de pianist laten gitaren en alle conventies overboord gooien.
Daarna heel veel slechte muziek maken maar uiteindelijk een geweldig album creeren.

Dees wil ik graag nog eens lezen. De moeite waard?

Geen boek maar dit zijn toch de dingen waar ik meer over wil weten.

Of Recording unhinged van Sylvia Massey. Erg leuke verhalen en tips over creativiteit in de studio.

Laatst kwam ik een boek tegen over muziektheorie, maar dan net even anders. Het gaat over muziek en het verband met geometrie, waarbij de auteur nog wat andere verbanden legt waardoor het soms wat "New Agey" overkomt, dat wel. Het boek op papier is te koop o.a. hier bij Amazon (met goede reviews), maar de auteur stelt een digitale versie gratis ter beschikking. Hier te downloaden als PDF. Een boek voor de liefhebber.
